It was only last week that we were speaking about the brand new Alpina Alpiner Quartz Edition, which will be available to purchase now! But now we’re looking at still another brand new version from the brand. Through the Annals of Alpina watches, they have always produced fantastic timepieces. These newest versions pay homage for this. Two new Alpina Seastrong diver heritage timepieces complete the introduction of the very first re-interpretations.
Back in 1969, the initial Alpina 10 Super Compressor diving watch was introduced. This version came fitted with two crowns, one for altering the moment, and then the next for correcting the inner rotating bezel. This bezel was used to measure elapsed time via a 1-60 minute scale, a characteristic which made this a fantastic diving tool.
This original Alpina’Seastrong’ view was also water resistant up to 200m (20 bar), and was anti-magnetic too. The model had an iconic instance style, and was known as for this super-compressor characteristic. To pay tribute to this historic collection, Alpina have established the Seastrong Diver Heritage. This latest version is much more than just a replica. Including classic aesthetics, along with a corner stone to some classic diver’s watches ranges.
It is difficult to disagree with Alpina, as this model keeps the charm, and ageless design of this original, yet has been upgraded to suit modern everyday life. Rather than hoping the tried and tested formula would still work, Alpina have corrected, and created a watch that’s been resized, with new updated functionality too! To match modern dwelling, the new Alpina Seastrong Diver Heritage sits in a 42mm bronze colours PVD-plated stainless steel case. This situation has only marginally been enlarged, as it looks to follow the tendency of contemporary watches. Obviously, we still observe the double-crown layout that makes this version so iconic, one at two and one at 4 o’clock. The top crown, used for adjusting the internal diving bezel has a grid-like pattern, together with the lower crown being used for time modification.
This heritage model has also been upgraded when it comes to water resistance too. Having a 300m water resistance above it’s past 200m, Alpina have made this an even more functional diving tool.
Among the most notable differences between the original, and the modern day interpretation is that the movement inside the watch. The Alpina Seastrong Diver Heritage comes fitted with an modified automatic movement. The base for this movement is that the Selita SW 200, that has been accepted by the Alpina technicians and turnt into the caliber AL-525 movement. This means that the internals of the watch are current with all the best watches round, and will help to keep timekeeping accurate and dependable constantly.
As I previously mentioned, there are in fact two new versions being published. Both are extremely similar, with minor alterations for you to pick between! An elegant brown dial can be paired with either a brown or cream colored rotating inner bezel, with beige or brown markers too. The design is then completed with increased gold plated indexes and hands with white luminous treatment! Overall, these hottest Alpina watches reveal fantastic precision and a retro look which makes it a timeless everyday watch.
