Officine Panerai introduces a new collection named Luminor Due, the result of a challenge taken by the designers and engineers of the Panerai Manufacture to offer enthusiasts a new interpretation of the brand’s iconic watch. The new Luminor Due models will be on sale worldwide from September 2016.
The Luminor Due collection will initially comprise two main models. The first one is the Luminor Due 3 Days 42 mm whose case will be just 10.5 mm thick, the thinnest ever created by Panerai watch.
The panerai replica watches case has the classic bridge device with sealing lever which protects the winding crown, and every component has a polished finish. The sapphire crystal reveals the classic minimalist Panerai dial with sandwich construction and the small seconds dial at 9 o’clock.
Inside, the in-house developed and manufactured P.1000 hand-wound movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a three-day power reserve. The movement also contains the device which stops the balance and zeroes the seconds hand when setting the time, for easy synchronization of the watch with the reference signal.
Imperceptibly thicker at 10.7 mm, the Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic is a bit larger with its diameter of 45 mm. It houses the self-winding P.4000 manufacture calibre with a micro-rotor mounted off-centre, a solution enabling the thickness of the movement to be substantially reduced. The 4 Hz (28,800 vph) movement has a power reserve of at least three days, as a result of having two spring barrels connected in series.
