IWC pays tribute to PALLWEBER, there are three watches and one pocket watch in this series.

The Pallweber pocket sequences showed the hours and minutes in numerals on rotating disks. These pocket watches dated back to 1884 and this style screen proved to be a radical development for the time. The pocket watches were available. The Pallweber is back with the 5051 re-edition of the pocketwatch and reference 5050 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of IWC.

IWC Pallweber “150 Years” Reference 5050 These new versions aren’t only a reference into the design of the Pallweber but is also a tribute to F.A. Jones, the American watch maker who based IWC. These watches are powered by the IWC 94200 calibre, where a solution was developed by the watchmakers for the sophisticated screen. Today, a single-minute disc is supplied by another wheel train and cogs. A particular release mechanism is establishing a connection to unlock and lock the major wheel the wheel to be advanced by every 60 seconds. The same as the pocket watches, these display discs are connected by a linkage with cross drive, allowing them to be moved forward or backwards using the crown.
