Breitling Chronoliner red gold limited edition watch hands on

If you’re a fan then I’m sure you will love Breitling Chronoliner red gold limited edition watch as it sports really high-end treatment. For one it is very masculine for a gold watch which we only see on steel variants. Besides I’m sure you’re also after the vintage spirit of the watch design, boy isn’t it lovely.

So what do we really have here? The new Breitling Chronoliner features a 46mm red gold case with a black ceramic bezel. Usually we see metal bezel but in this case, the black ceramic bezel adds more class to the watch and balances the contrast between gold and darker colors particularly on the dial. I know for sure that this maximizes legibility plus I like the design but again we all differ in our personal tastes.Side of Breitling Chronoliner red gold limited edition watch The combination of Red gold and darker colors is pretty much well executed such as the numbers on the black ceramic bezel executed in brushed gold thus aiding to its secondary function as a third-time zone indicator. What caught my eye though are the piston-shaped pushers for the chronograph functions which somehow highlights the watch’s retro style.

The matte black dial is somewhat populated since the watch literally combines a chronograph with a triple time zone indicator, obviously this presents a lot of information.Side of Breitling Chronoliner red gold limited edition watch 02However with Breitling’s touch, the dial appears to be surprisingly clean. This is made possible by using white tricompax display balanced by a date window and the logo on the right. This combination yields better and sharper contrast against the matte black dial. Moreover the 30 minute counter at 12 o’clock sports six luminescent rectangles which is a typical Breitling Chronoliner DNA. The subdials are superb elegantly decorated with a circular motif and a grey border that enhance legibility. Legibility is indeed superb since there is a healthy dose of luminescence materials on the red gold hands and indices too.Breitling Chronoliner red gold limited edition watch dialWhat powers the new Breitling Chronoliner is the ETA Valjoux 7754 automatic movement. This is purely a GMT adaptation of the ubiquitous Valjoux 7750 sporting a COSC-certified chronometer. This cool movement is not only superb but with its certification, it surely begs to be time tested for all eternity if I may boldly add. Being water-resistant to 100 metres, the Breitling Chronoliner red gold limited edition certainly appeals to sporty heads out there. And mentioning sports, the watch also comes on a black rubber strap reminiscent of the steel mesh bracelet of the Aero Classic watch.
