Patek Philippe – No gimmicks, thank you

In the Patek Philippe’s latest campaign to promote its more technical side, Thierry Stern, president of Patek Philippe, explains that innovation can “open the door to new ways of thinking” and that “it demonstrates the imagination of Patek Philippe”.

His eyes, tired from witnessing the plebs go about their lives as he rolls past them into his tinted Maybach, do their best to glimpse behind the curved and proudly non-AR-coated crystal, desperately searching for the feast they could feel is anticipating. Their attempts yield great rewards: nine massive, baguette-cut diamonds sparkle back at them — “in the area of a fifth of a carat,” his educated nouveau riche eyesight makes him whisper along with the team almost claps in appreciation. They are roughly 0.23ct.As a viewing angle is found at which the entire ceiling and the rest of the store is not reflected back in the client, a dial in a vibrant, nevertheless noble shade of blue starts to reveal itself, set alight with a subtle sunburst finish. Moments later, it will become evident, the 5170P is not about the dial colour, but about these splendid baguette diamonds — which, to be fair, put an honorable fight against the reflections since they too scatter light in a million ways.Diamond markers be a divisive power among watch fans. People that have a more faint confidence in their flavor (or something else, maybe?) Actively seek the chance to overreact and, as such, contemplate even the suggestion of diamond markers to be a personal attack. They wish to voice their uber-conservative flavor whenever potential for it’s their convenient safe-place at which cosied up against the soft walls of watch flavor conservatism, they’re free from making a wrong telephone.
