Hermès created an unusual watch -the Le Temps Suspendu. Le Temps Suspendu was not created by Hermès specifically for female clients and while its whimsical approach isn’t necessarily going to appeal to every broad-shouldered ex-linebacker out there, it’s definitely a watch someone with a certain level of taste might choose to wear.
The movement is apt to draw some criticism for its finish – or rather, for the absence of the sort of classically Genevan flourishes we ordinarily associate with upper tier watchmaking. Rather than treating the eye to an elaborate arrangement of Geneva stripes and meticulously burnished anglage, Hermès has opted for a more restrained look, with the rotor, mainplate and balance cock decorated with a stylized H for Hermès.
