Blancpain presented many outstanding diamonds watch but in my eye this watch is one of the most stunning dress watches for ladies.

The Blancpain Jour Nuit features a multi-layer mother-of-pearl dial that displays hours, minutes, retrograde seconds, and a rotating disc that depicts a gem-set night and day motif.  It comes in a generous 40mm x 12mm red gold case with sapphire crystal display back for the nicely finished automatic mechanical Blancpain Cal 1163JN.  The day/night disk turns twice per day, each rotational change taking place over approximately four minutes.  The sun is made of 50 yellow sapphires; the moon, 50 diamonds.  There are 14 diamond stars and pearl cloud accents.  And of course the stepped bezel which is also set with two rows of diamonds, 140 in total.  The watch is fitted on an ostrich leather strap.The minute is displayed with a regulator hand which continuously sweeps over its circle of rotation. As it completes its 60 minute march, the seconds hand is retrograding, which is to say that it progresses along its arc and returns instantly to its point of departure.  Similarly, Blancpain notes that the hour hand retrogrades twice per day:  the hour hand sweeps the dial from 6am to 6pm , and then in synchronicity with the changing on the day/night scene, the hour hand retrogrades to what is now 7pm until 5am.
